World’s best female chef suddenly SHUTS double Michelin-starred restaurant in brutal end to ‘unforgettable chapter’

She also has a three Michelin-starred restaurant in France

THE WORLD'S best female chef has suddenly shut her two Michelin-starred restaurant - ending an "unforgettable chapter".

La Dame de Pic was launched in 2016 in Tower Bridge, London, by French chef Anne-Sophie Pic.

Anne-Sophie has been dubbed one of the "world's most decorated female chefs" and is behind a string of Michelin-starred restaurants across the world.

But after eight years, her prestigious London restaurant located inside the Four Seasons' Hotel is closing its doors for the last time.

Its final service will be held on February 15, 2025.

Group Pic, who represent the chef, and the hotel group announced on Tuesday they had agreed to "conclude their partnership".

The pair thanked their customers for their loyalty, adding it had been a "fantastic" and "unforgettable" chapter.

In a statement they said: "We are incredibly proud of the two-Michelin-star dining experience we created at La Dame de Pic, delivering exceptional dining and unforgettable moments to all.

La Dame de Pic received its first Michelin star in 2018 and a second just two years later.

The restaurant also secured four-AA-rosettes - an award which recognises excellent cuisine - in 2024.

Anne-Sophie's food was lauded by judges who called the dishes "stunning" and "classic".

Her restaurant was also highly praised for its "superb technical execution" and "first-class, seasonal produce".

Her success with La Dame de Pic followed acclaim in France, where she has a three-Michelin starred restaurant called Pic.

Pic, a family restaurant based in Valence, won its stars under her grandfather Andre in 1934. These were later reinstated when her father took over.

This comes just months after a Michelin-hailed top chef's restaurant was forced to close due to "unforeseen circumstances" nine years after opening.

London based bar TT, formerly known as TT Liquor, in Shoreditch closed after nearly a decade in business.

The site hosted a rooftop restaurant, cellar bar, liquor store, and cinema, and hosted cocktail classes, tastings, and events.

Chef Sam Lone, 28, headed up TT Restaurant and Rooftop in Kingsland Road - which only opened in April.

The esteemed chef worked for Oren in the past, which features in the Michelin restaurant guide.

On a statement posted on Instagram, TT said that it had been "more than just a business".

The company thanked their "loyal customers and incredible team" for making it all possible.

But they sadly confirmed that "unforeseen circumstances" meant that the doors would be closing.
