World’s finest collection of vintage Star Wars toys set to fetch eye-watering sum at auction

THE world’s finest collection of vintage Star Wars toys is set to make its owner £1.6million.

Jeff Jacob spent 33 years amassing nearly every figure and vehicle from the franchise.

The collection includes 300 mint condition figures including a rare Kenner Obi Wan Kenobi toy valued at £80,000.

Its 2.5in double telescoping lightsaber, that emerges from Obi Wan’s right arm socket, was scrapped and replaced with a shorter version.

Another standout lot is a Kenner figure of bounty hunter 4-LOM.

One of four known to exist, it took Jeff 20 years to source and is tipped to make £28,000.

A Boba Fett figure with an unpunched card, meaning it was never placed on a shop peg, is estimated at £16,000.

A Darth Vader Tie Fighter and Cantina adventure set could also make £16,000 each.

Jeff, from Denver, Colorado, started collecting as a boy in the 1980s. He works in construction and will spend the sale cash on building a house.

Jeff said: “I’d love to see my collection get passed across the world to different people.”

Kelly McClain, at Hake’s Auctions, said: “This is the most significant Star Wars collection to come to auction. Jeff got the best of the best.”

The Pennsylvania, US, sale concludes tomorrow.
