Everyone is going crazy for Lidl’s trendy tables that are £200 cheaper than luxury lookalikes – but can you tell which is which?

The Lidl tables look just like ones from a luxury Danish interior brand which have a hefty price tag

SHOPPERS have been raving about a pair of wire tables from Lidl that cost just £29.99.

They look just like luxury Danish design brand Ferm Living - where a similar pair would cost around £240.

 The tables on the left are from Lidl and cost £29.99, while the ones on the right are from upmarket Danish designer Fern Living and could set you back £240 for the pair.

The tables from Lidl have a wire frame and have detachable lids made out of “ash effect” wood.

While the luxury version is made out of iron wire base and the oak wood top which must be bought separately.

The budget supermarket’s knock-off version has earned praise from shoppers who are delighted with their purchase.

One described them as “incredible”, another said they were “pretty impressed” with the affordable tables.

A spokesperson from Lidl confirmed that there are tables still available in stores around the UK.

Lidl isn’t the only budget supermarket that is famous for its copycat version of luxury products.

Aldi has produced a string of items which have been popular with shoppers, including a wooden tripod floor lamp and knock-off Jo Malone candles.

Yesterday, it was revealed that shoppers are flocking to Aldi, Lidl and Iceland to cut the cost of growing grocery prices.

Figures from market analysts Kantar show that grocery inflation is up 2.3 per cent compared to the same time last year, with butter, fish and tea some of the household staples that have seen the biggest price hikes.
