Huge number of lottery millionaires made in 2024 revealed

Builders were the luckiest profession, with health service workers in second

THE National Lottery created 383 millionaires this year — more than one a day.

Winners shared in total a whopping £848million between them, while £50billion has been raised for good causes over the past 30 years.

An average of 70 high-tier prizes were paid out each month, with a total of 846 prizes worth £50,000 or more.

This year also included the UK’s third largest win, a £177million jackpot scooped by an anonymous EuroMillions ticket-holder in November.

In January, Richard and Debbie Nuttall, from Colne, Lancs, pocketed a £61million EuroMillions jackpot.

Builders were the luckiest profession, with health service workers in second.

Geminis were the luckiest star sign, followed by Cancer and then Libra.

Eleven was the luckiest number, appearing a total of 16 times, followed by 48, 25, 19 and 3.

The least drawn balls were 55, 30 and 46. On New Year’s Eve ten new UK millionaires will be created via EuroMillions.
