Major supermarket is selling Christmas dinner for less than £2 a head
A MAJOR supermarket is selling an entire Christmas dinner for less than £2 per person.
The bargain giant announced its Christmas dinner will be slashed in price from December 19 up to Christmas Eve this year.
Aldi is selling the feast for £11.45 and claims it will serve a family of six.
For just £1.91 a head, punters can buy the ingredients of a whole roast, including a turkey, potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, broccoli, parsnips, stuffing, Yorkshire puds and gravy.
It comes as the German supermarket is set to release its Super Six Christmas Veg offer next week - and turkeys for just £2.95 per kg.
The Christmas veg deal means punters can get their hands on festive produce for just 15p a bag.

You'll have to be quick to get your hands on the slashed items, as the offer will only last until Christmas Eve or when stocks run out.
It is set to be the cheapest place to buy a turkey this year, tying with Lidl, with rival supermarkets warring over who can offer the best prices.
Sainsbury's also said it would slash vegetables to 15p just a day before Aldi made its announcement.
The supermarket confirmed last week that prices for Nectar Card customers are dropping between December 18 and Christmas Eve.
This includes Brussels Sprouts, parsnips, carrots and potatoes.
However, a Sainsbury's turkey will cost the punter £9 per kg or £8 with a Nectar Card.
Compared to Aldi, that's up to triple the price.
Meanwhile, Asda is also offering slashed Christmas ingredients from December 19.
It features a tempting deal on turkeys, for just £3 per kg as well as Christmas veg for the 15p discount.
However, Aldi maintains the winning spot for the cheapest Christmas dinner, with its turkey being the cheapest around - alongside Lidl.
It's common practice for retailers to dramatically slash the price of Christmas dinner vegetables around the busy festive period.
A number offered discounted prices in 2023, including Aldi, Sainsbury's and Lidl.
For this reason, it is always important to compare prices between supermarkets as offers constantly change in the run-up to Christmas.
A great way to do this is by using comparison sites like Trolley, which lays out all the different prices for you.
Bear in mind, however, that prices can sometimes be different in-store based on demand and sell-by date.
You might be able to get cheap veg through yellow sticker bargains at your local supermarket.
Supermarkets add these stickers to items coming to the end of their best-before or use-by dates and you can get some serious discounts.
How to save money on Christmas shopping
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents - buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you're not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead - if you've got the stamina and budget, it's worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you're not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales - some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores - you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
Aldi UK's Cheapest Supermarket
Which? crowned Aldi the cheapest supermarket to buy your groceries in November.
The comparison site's new research compares how supermarket prices matched up across a basket of 55 items.
The basket of 55 goods at the retailer cost an average of £97.89 across November.
In comparison, rival chain Lidl was a close second, costing only 38p more for shoppers signed up to the Lidl Plus loyalty app and 45p for those not on the rewards scheme.
The same basket of 55 products at Tesco, without a Clubcard, would have cost you £108.45 or £105.61 with one.
At Sainsbury's, you could expect to pay £112.06 if you did not have a Nectar card or £106.71 if you have one.
Posh grocer Waitrose proved to be the most expensive with a price tag of £123.32 for 55 item shop.
It is worth bearing in mind that the data was based on prices for 55 products across November only.
That means they are just a snapshot of what you might pay at different times of the year.
