TANGO is launching its first-ever hot sauce - and foodies will be able to buy it from a famous chicken shop chain.

However, only 200 of the bottles are up for grabs so you'll have to be quick.

They will be priced at £5.75 for a 100g bottle.

The fiery sauce combines Carolina Reaper and ghost chillies with a tangy orange-flavoured twist.

If the whole bottle doesn't take your fancy, 11 Nabzy's chicken shops across Preston, Liverpool and Manchester are adding the sauce to two menu items.

Fast food fans can buy either the Chicken Fillet Burger or Chicken Wing roulette meal deals for £7.79.

Again, the Tang Reaper-spiced burgers at Nabzy's are on sale while stocks last so you'll have to head down fast if you want to give them a try.

This is the full list of restaurants that will be serving the two spicy menu items:

  • Liverpool City Centre
  • Wallasey
  • Manchester
  • Garston
  • Bury
  • Norris Green
  • Bamber Bridge
  • Blackburn
  • Preston
  • Chorley
  • Bolton

The new sauce has been developed alongside South Devon Chilli Farm, but beware - it is so hot it comes with a warning.

Britvic, which makes Tango, said anyone who tries the sauce should take safety precautions like wearing gloves and avoid contact with their eyes and skin after handling it.

Victoria Burridge, brand manager at Tango, said: "Tang Reaper is more than just a hot sauce; it’s a full-on sensory experience.

"We wanted to create something bold, balanced, and undeniably Tango – with a spice intensity that’s not for the faint of heart."

Tango's move into the sauce market comes after Nando's launched a never-before-seen spice flavour based on another famous fizzy drink.

The chicken chain has launched a new spice combining their iconic PERi-PERi with Fanta Orange Zero Sugar.

Nando's launched the spooky-themed sauce as part of its Halloween menu, but it's only available until next Spring.

How does the Tang Reaper sauce taste?

Consumer reporter Sam Walker gives his verdict on the spicy tango sauce.

The first taste is a rush of Tango, but within seconds the heat really kicks in, and only grows.

It wasn't long before sweat broke out on my brow, and the wave of spice only grew.

Britvic says the spice is supposed to last for around five minutes with eaters eventually experiencing a "burst of endorphins", leaving some feeling a rush of euphoria.

I can attest to the fact the spice definitely lasted five minutes before dying down, but would I describe it as a rush of endorphins? Perhaps not.

I'd be keen to give it a go on my grilled chicken though and it would definitely add a nice tangy kick.

FIZZY DRINK NEWS

Shoppers breathed a sigh of relief last month after finding out .

Rumours had been swirling online following a series of cyptic Instagram posts stating the iconic drink was to be "retired".

But in one final post, Old Jamaica issued an update quipping: "Did anyone actually think we were signing off??"

It came after Tango confirmed its popular cherry flavour, axed in 2018, would be making a welcome return to shelves.

Food followers on the  Facebook page shared a snap of the fruity fizzy drink to over 380,000 followers.

Shoppers online were quick to comment, with one excitedly saying: "I’ve had this! It tastes just like black cherry’s.
