If you’re planning an online shop, here’s how to make sure you get the best bang for your buck . . . 

COMPARE COSTS: You can compare the cheapest supermarket for your particular shop by going online at supermarketwizard.com.

And make sure you add your loyalty cards to your online shop to collect points and access special reduced prices.

SAVE ON DELIVERY: If you can be more flexible on times for delivery, you may be able to get cheaper charges.

A monthly or yearly delivery pass can also you save you cash if you are getting online shops regularly.

The cost varies by supermarket so do your sums to work out if it’s a good deal for you.

CHECK IT OVER: When your food shop arrives at the door, ensure you are happy with what you have received.
