BRITAIN'S luckiest postcode has been revealed - and it's home to more than 480 lottery winners.

The People's Postcode Lottery offers entrants a chance to score hundreds of thousands of pounds based on where they live.

The UK's luckiest city has had a total of 480 winners from its 11 postcodes.

Preston in Lancashire is our luckiest city.

It has accumulated 480 winners from its 11 postcodes and boasts an average of 43.64 wins per postcode district.

Snapping at its heels are another nine cities.

Overall it has earned 276 wins.

A town in Greater Manchester has bagged sixth place - known for its industrial heritage, it's Bolton.

Bolton has an average of 32 wins per postcode district.

The town’s 10 postcode districts have accumulated 320 wins in total.

In seventh place, it's a South London town, it's Croydon.

With 30.25 average wins per postcode district.

The town's eight postcode districts have won 242 times in total.
