The Next sale starts on Saturday – here’s the sneaky way you can spot what items will be in it
The most popular sale on the high-street is on its way, and we have the tricks you need to bag those bargains
IF you’re planning on updating your wardrobe ready for spring and shopping at Next soon, hold off, because its incredibly popular 50 per cent off sale is going to launch this Saturday.
Rumours started circulating the web earlier this week, with sale hunters trying to work out when exactly the sale will start.
Next tend to keep tight-lipped about the details of its sale, but the Sun Online managed to get it to confirm that its mid-season sale will start this Saturday at 8am online and in-stores around the UK.
In past sales, the queue to get through the shop door has snaked out of the store with shoppers desperate to get their hands on the Next discounts.
The sale is particularly popular because everything, including clothing, children and home is 50 per cent off - rather than a standard "up-to" sale.
Trick to find out if an item will be in the sale
A day or so before the sale starts, Next staff will mark the tags of the items that will be reduced with a series of numbers and letters in pencil. This helps them organise the sale when it starts.
Marks you should look out for include: T50, GH16, R8 etc. If you take away the letter, you’re left with just the number which is the price it will be when the sale launches.
We checked a few of our local Next stores to see if the tags had been marked yet, but it was too early in the week. We expect to see them appearing on Thursday and Friday.
How to get what you want in the Next sale
If you plan to tackle the Next sale online, it is worth creating an account in advance. Put the items you intend to buy in your basket the night before - or before the sale starts online at 8am.
This way, when you check-out on Saturday, the items will be already reduced in your basket waiting for you.
Planning to shop in-store? You need to get there before opening if you want to bag the best bargains.
If you’re considering buying something, pick it up and carry it around with you while you decide. If you leave it behind while you think, the odds are it won’t be there when you go back to buy it.
