‘This has got to be a mistake!’ blast Asda & Poundland shoppers horrified at the price of Christmas chocolate
Customers were convinced the pricing was a mistake
SEASONAL shoppers have been left stunned at the price of festive chocolate in Asda and Poundland.
Supermarket deal finder Glenn Kennedy, who regularly updates his bargain hunter Facebook group, was shocked when he came across the chocolate aisle in these retailers.

As Glenn scouted for deals, he stumbled across a choccy horror in Asda that he immediately shared with his page.
For five miniature chocolates, including a Chomp, Freddo, Fudge, Curly Wurly, and a mini bag of Cadbury Buttons, you were asked to fork out £3.50.
A horrified Glenn quickly took to social media writing: “This has got to be a mistake. £3.50 for 78g of Cadbury chocolate. It’s clear on the price ticket.”
With the bars priced at 30p on the website, totting up for £1.20 for four chocolates plus the Cadbury buttons, his followers were left utterly baffled.
One user commented: “Nobody in their right mind is going to fork out £3.50 for a mere 78g.”

Another added: "Oh my God. I’d rather buy a bar of chocolate than that. You are paying for the packaging.”
Thankfully, the frantic shoppers were right to be concerned as after contacting Asda, it appeared the item had been priced incorrectly - with the correct price standing at £1.20.
This isn't the first time time retailers have confused customers, with Tesco rationing its Chocolate tubs earlier this month at 10 per person.
Despite being months from Christmas, shoppers were given a strict 10 tub limit - leaving many bemused by the UK's largest supermarket chain.

Outraged customers are also outraged at the year-by-year comparison of some of the selection boxes.
Celebrations have been accused of shrinking in size over the years, with shoppers even calling to boycott the tubs.

Despite being on sale, the seasonal treats in Poundland weren't exactly a Christmas miracle either.
The Mancunion posted the prices of a range of chocolate, including Malteasers, Haribo and Terry’s Chocolate Orange, showing only two of the 21 items costing a pound.
This had Facebook users aghast, with many questioning if the name of the store still stands.
One user wrote: “Just one question: why is this shop still called Poundland when most of their products are £1.50 upwards. Not as good as it used to be.”
Another added: “Only 2 things on all those shelves that are a pound.”
A third commented: “Popped in to Poundland for the first time in ages last week. Won’t be going again, it's got so expensive. Better deals elsewhere.”
With 19 of the 21 confectionary priced at over £1 in Poundland, many Facebook users were left with a bitter taste in their mouth instead of a sweet one.
One savvy shopper even suggested the chocolate will soon be reduced to trick customers into thinking they're getting a bargain.
A spokesperson for Poundland told Jam Press: “Bah Humbug – that's just one small display with some of our best savings versus prices elsewhere.
