The value of the 360 beach huts has skyrocketed over the past few decades
A SOUGHT-after beach hut with dual aspect views of the sea and a harbour has gone on the market - for a whopping £475,000.
The stunning timber cabin is at Mudeford Spit in Christchurch Harbour, Dorset.

Cars are banned on the remote sandbank which can only be accessed by a 30-minute walk, a short ferry crossing or a ride on a land train.
Owners can sleep in the huts overnight from April to October, but they have to share toilet and washing facilities in a communal block.
The remote location and stunning views have driven up the value of the 360 beach huts there over the past few decades.

Hut 159 looks out over Christchurch Bay and across to The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
From the rear, there are sunset views of Christchurch Harbour.
The recently refurbished hut features a gas bottle-connected cooker, a 12v fridge powered by solar panels, and a water heater.
It features a full mezzanine floor that sleeps four, with space for two more in the converted lounge area.

It also has two terraces at the front and back, as well as secure storage underneath the hut.

The asking price is currently one of the most expensive at Mudeford but includes the transfer fee for the licence.
The land is owned by BCP Council, and new hut owners must also pay over £3,600 in annual fees.
They are being sold by estate agents Denisons.
On its website, Denisons said: "A lovely, bright and spacious hut having the benefit of a dual aspect and two outdoor entertaining terraces.
"This above standard size hut has recently undergone refurbishment and upgrading and now offers accommodation which can sleep around six people.
"Occupying a unique position, Hut 159 has views over the harbour and views from the front aspect to the south, towards the Isle of Wight."
Some of the huts at Mudeford have remained in the same family for generations, with people paying as little as a few hundred pounds in the 1950s and '60s.

Over the years the value has soared, in the early 2000s they sold for £70,000-80,000 but soon after that they started breaking the six-figure mark.
The record price paid for one was £575,000 in September 2021, off the back of the Covid pandemic and rise in staycations.
