McDonald’s Monopoly 2024 updates: Menu items with Monopoly stickers revealed
MCDONALD'S Monopoly has returned and fans will be scrambling to collect stickers to claim VIP prizes.
The annual game is very popular among fast-food fans and coincides with a shake-up in the McDonald's menu. But not all menu items will have the Monopoly stickers.
Players who take part in the game can collect stickers from their food packaging that represent train stations or colour co-ordinated road names - much like the classic game.
Among the top prizes this year is £100,000 in cash for five winners and there will be 2,000 "gold cards", which give you a free Maccies meal a week for a year.
Other big prizes include a Mini electric car, a £2k Jet2holiday and a Merlin annual pass, which grants free access to some of Britain's biggest attractions.
As in previous years, the competition will run for six weeks, and this year ends on October 15.

How does McDonald’s Monopoly work?
The game works similarly to traditional Monopoly.
Customers collect game pieces when they buy qualifying McDonald’s products, such as colour co-ordinated road names or train stations.
You’ll be able to find them as stickers which appear on the packaging of your food.
Each menu item has the chance of giving you a different prize.
These range from food, to massive cash prizes.
Can you still get McDonald’s Monopoly boards?
Mcdonald’s first started the game in 2005 and in order to play the customers would need to stick their prizes onto the board.
In previous years the fast food chain has given away free boards to customers who wanted to play McDonald’s monopoly.
However, they stopped this in 2021 and made it possible for customers to play along online.
Less people relied on using the boards and moved to online as it made it easier to cash in on some instant wins.
To claim your food or drink items on the instant win tickets you would have to keep them separate and bring them to the restaurant with you in order to get your prize.

McDonald’s drive-thru option is available as long as the restaurant is open, just drive into the right lane and place your order to go.

Customers recently discovered how McDonald's staff know which order belongs to which person at the drive through.
McDonald's told Fabulous: "Drive-Thru cameras capture images at the time orders are placed, however, this is not permanently saved onto any device.
"Instead, the image is displayed on the cashier’s till in the drive-thru window and is then automatically deleted within 30 minutes of the sale being completed.
"The image is captured to ensure that the completed food and beverage order is passed to the same person who placed the order."
