A SHOPPER has revealed a genius Lidl hack for getting bargains and freebies from the supermarket even when you're on holiday abroad.
The customer shared the tip with other Lidl shoppers who were excited to learn about it.
She explained that you can use Lidl Plus abroad by changing the settings on your app.
This allows you to get freebies or coupons on your shopping that you can also use when you're on holiday.
To get the rewards, you need to download the app on your smartphone and create an account.
Currently, by using the app you can get three toffee filled yum yum pastries for £1.75, instead of paying 75p for each item.

You can also buy six petit pain rolls for £1.50, instead of paying 29p for each of them.
The shopper wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group: "Not sure if this has been posted before, but if you have the Lidl app and are on holiday you can set it to that country and make use of the offers.
"Also some countries have some good freebies as part of a spend or as a rub off coupon.
"Just go to settings and find the relevant country."

Some members of the group said they were aware of the option to switch countries on the app, but others had no idea that this was possible.
A person commented: "I've used it in France and the Netherlands."
Someone else said they also used it in Portugal and Spain, adding: "Freebie in Spain last week was a pack of ice lollies.
"Works just like at home."
One shopper who wasn't aware of this option wrote: "Ohhh thank you. I go to Poland soon I didn't realise."
Someone else said: "Interesting thank you."
And another added: "Well you learn something new every day. What a great tip! Thank you."
One more person commented: "Thank you. I didn't know that."
Lidl confirmed that it's possible to use the app abroad and that customers can get offers by choosing the country they're visiting.
However, they said any spend abroad doesn't count towards your monthly spend total, so you will not see what you spend abroad in the app once you switch countries back to Great Britain.
A spokesperson told The Sun: "You can get Lidl plus offers abroad by simply heading to the settings in your Lidl plus app and choosing the relevant country.
"For example, today in France you can get a free surprise reward when you checkout in store."
They added: "Please note that any spend abroad will not be added to your monthly spend total when you return e.g. if you spend €10 in France this will not be added to your account when you switch it back to GB."
How to save on your supermarket shop
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they've been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you'll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you'll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching "finest" or "luxury" products and instead going for "own" or value" type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they're misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you're on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
How does Lidl's loyalty app work?
Lidl Plus works by offering customers personalised coupons based on their purchases which change each week.
These coupons can then be activated and redeemed in-store to get money off certain products.
You can also unlock free bakery and products by spending over certain thresholds through Coupon Plus.
