PARENTS on the lookout for back to school steals have described a range of football-themed stationery as "lush".

The Works is selling a set of soccer-themed stationery that has caught the eye of some shoppers.

The Facebook group shared the bargain deal stating: "Football Stationery From £1 At The Works."

Parents were quick to rush to the comments and share the deal.

One mum said on social: "Look at these!"

A second commented: "Fold out stationery set online."

Another pointed out the bits could be perfect for Christmas and posted: "Stocking fillers!"

A fourth wrote: "Need to go in, footy things!"

While a fifth said: "Love it all!"

The retro-style items might also appeal to dads who want to remind themselves of their schooldays.

The discount chain sells value gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery.

Now is the prime time to pick up your back to school essentials as many retailers will have deals on.

We had a look online and couldn't find any items for less than a £1.

The Range is selling a football-themed notebook for £1.99, while Amazon has various items for just over a quid.

Always remember to shop around when buying something like this as well as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

You can use websites like Price Spy and Trolley to compare prices on thousands of products across different retailers.

The Google Product tab is helpful for running a quick scan across the internet too.

Elsewhere, The Works they are selling a dirt-cheap gadget that helps with keeping cool in hot weather.

PlayWorks Mist Spray Fans are on offer for just £2.49 and are 20 per cent off on The Works website.

The fans come in yellow, pink and blue and have a water tank below the fan which uses a pump.

This means not only does the owner benefit from the cooling air stream but also a refreshing spray of cold water.

Last year Pifco water mist spray fans hit the shelves of Home Bargains and cost just £1.99.

One shopper posted a photo of the find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

Others responded quickly to the find with one person saying: "I've had them before, they're really good."

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
