Full list of much-loved food and drink RETURNING to shelves after years away – is your favourite one of them?
Including a crisp flavour that has been absent from shops for years
A CATALOGUE of much-loved food and drinks items are set to return to shelves this year – is your favourite coming back?
From much-missed chocolate bars to special edition sweets, you will soon be able to get your hands on some blasts from the past once more.
Brands including Tango, Nestle and M&S are all bringing back discontinued items after a clammer from fans.
The wave of comebacks was kicked off in April, when KP Snacks announced that it would bring back the iconic Salt & Vinegar Discos into its range.
The product had been scrapped in 2020 but rolled back out to supermarkets earlier this year.
Shoppers can pick up a pack at B&M, Asda and Sainsbury’s from just £1.50.
And for afters you could pick from a pair of revived chocolate treats that returned this month.
Nestle has re-debuted the beloved Caramac bar in three different varieties after taking it off shelves just last year.
Shoppers can get their hands on a classic single bar, three-bar multi-pack and sharing bag of buttons across retailers including Iceland, B&M and Spar.
The choc bar was pulled from shelves after 60 years last year – but is now back for a limited time
Nestle said the Retail Recommended Price (RRP) for the varieties are 75p, £1.65 and £1.65 respectively, though shops can set prices separately.
Similarly, MilkyWay Crispy Rolls have reappeared in Poundland stores selling for £1.25.
The sweet treat is back in shops after being axed by Mars two years ago.
The MilkyWay crispy rolls are also on sale in B&M for £1, and Home Bargains for £99p.
The choc is a delicious blend of creamy milk chocolate and crispy wafer rolls.
Alternatively, you could opt for the newly returned “reverse Percy” Percy Pig sweets now back in M&S branches.
The interesting twist on the classic Percy sees his body made up of jelly and his body made up of the chewy sweet, while it’s usually the other way round.
Despite being a beloved pick for many to satisfy their sweet-tooth, M&S pulled it from the shelves 10 years ago.
The sweets, suitable for vegetarians and vegans, are available at M&S stores and through Ocado at £1.90 for a 190g bag, but you’ll also have to pay for delivery on top.
Finally, you can wash all that down with a sip or two of cherry Tango, which is back in Iceland stores nationwide for the first time since 2018.
A 500ml bottle will cost just £1.99, while two litres will set you back £3.19 and eight cans are £5.29.
A Britvic spokesperson said: “Gone are the days craving for a hint of Cherry flavour.
“Tango Cherry is here to remind you what real cherry tang should taste like. It’s bold, it’s invigorating, and it’s back.
“Why? Because we have the irresistible tangy punch that only Tango Cherry delivers.”
