Bargain hunters have spotted a portable gas scanning at the tills for only £6 - reduced by a whopping 65 per cent.

The nifty gadget would normally set you back £18 but now sells for only a fraction of the price.

The great deal can be found online at the Tesco website but you have to be quick while stocks last.

The Summit Portable Gas stove comes with a single burner and an easy to operate heat control dial.

The small device can be easily transported in its own carry bag and is designed to be lightweight.

The gadget is ideal for solo travellers who love outdoors or even families who prefer to pack light.

The bargain was posted on a Facebook group by an eagle-eyed shopper.

Excited customers quickly reacted to the deal with many flocking to the comments.

One person said: "I paid £9 two days ago. They've further reduced them!"

Another one said: "I could do with a new one.";

A third person commented: "May be worth checking Tesco!"

Someone else added: "I'll buy two."

Tesco has launched a massive summer clearance sale with some outdoor items costing as little as £7.45.

An outdoor swing set, perfect for the little ones, is now scanning for only £20 instead of £99 at the supermarket.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  •  is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

In store bargains also include The American Grill Charcoal BBQ with 48 pere cent off, reduced from £139 to £72 - £67 off for Britain's outdoor eaters.

And for garden fans on an even tighter budget, the Large Kettle Charcoal BBQ is reduced to clear for only £45.

Unfortunately, it looks like the best bargains you'll have to go in store, as they are not online.

You can find your nearest branch by using the stock locator tool on the Tesco website.

Shops often get rid of summer stock for cheap ahead, to make way for the new Autumn ranges coming in store.

It also means stock that's discounted can vary from one store to the next.

For savvy savers who prefer online shopping, there's also a few decent deals to be found on the Tesco website.

But don't forget to factor in delivery costs too.

What can I get with Tesco Clubcard?

TESCO'S Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop.

These points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food at the supermarket, or discounts at other places like restaurants and days out.

Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your Clubcard.

Drivers using the loyalty card get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you a £1.50 money-off voucher, for example.

You can double their worth when you swap them for discounts with "reward partners".

For example, £12 worth of vouchers can be swapped for a £24 three-month subscription to Disney+.

Or you can swap 50p worth of points for £1 to spend at Hungry Horse pubs.

Where you can spend them changes regularly, and you can check on the Tesco website what's available now.

Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card.

The discounted items change regularly and without a Clubcard you'll pay a higher price.

These Clubcard prices are usually labelled on shelves, along with the non-member price.

But it's worth noting that just because it's discounted doesn't necessarily make it the cheapest around, and you should compare prices to find the best deal.

You can sign up to get a Tesco Clubcard in store or online via the Tesco website.
