Starting from July 31, Maccies fans across the UK and Ireland can nab three dishes for a total of just £3, which comes down to just £1 per dish.

If you fancy a perfect lunch pick me up without breaking the bank, the bargain offer has eight food options available to pick from.

However, for those wishing to cool down on a summer day, McFlurry is unfortunately left out of the meal deal.

When the deal was last on, between May 22 and June 10, foodies could pick a miniature McFlurry as part of the offering.

Sweet-toothed fans will have to instead opt for the only dessert option on the menu which is the iconic apple pie.

But there are still 100 possible combinations that you can create with the dishes on offer.

For instance, the biggest saving you can make is if you buy three apple pies which normally would cost you £5.67.

If you don't want the same dish, the next best savings is an Apple Pie, small fries, cheeseburger or Mayo Chicken.

This would usually set you back £4.97, so you'll save £1.97.

But bargain hunters will need to be quick as the deal is running for only four weeks.

  • Mayo Chicken £1.49

How to save money at McDonald's

You might not think it, but you can end up being charged more solely based on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald's receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You'll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you're ordering McDonald's to your home too.

Our research found some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.
