A LUCKY punter doubled his fortune with a ten second website trick, landing him a whopping £800k.

A total 483 people in Bristol celebrated last weekend after BS3 5 was revealed as the winning postcode sector of June's £3.2 million Peoples Postcode Millions prize.

Among them was one lucky man who used a clever 10-second website trick to double his winnings, walking away with a jaw-dropping £800,000.

Three residents playing with the full winning postcode, BS3 5BA, landed the biggest cheques.

Each ticket for this postcode was worth £400,000. But this savvy player chose to play with two tickets, doubling his prize money.

In just 10 seconds on the website – he bought two tickets.

The remaining 480 players in the sector received cheques ranging from £2,973 to £11,892, depending on the number of tickets they played with.

Postcode Lottery tweeted: “June's #PostcodeMillions has landed in Bristol.

"Over 480 players in the BS3 5 area have won a share of the £3.2 MILLION prize pot, with those in the full winning postcode, BS3 5BA, winning the biggest share.”

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson couldn't hide his excitement.

He said: "I couldn't be more pleased for all our lucky players who've bagged themselves a prize in Bristol.

"What a great way to kick start the summer - no doubt there will be plenty of celebrations taking place. Congratulations Bristol."

One congratulatory tweet from a fellow player read: “Congratulations to you all on your wonderful win. Enjoy your newfound wealth and stay lucky.”

The prize was part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Children Trust.

Supported by their players, the trust provided grant funding to organisations that "inspire and support children and young people to make the most of their lives and opportunities".

Benefiting charities included Young Lives vs Cancer, Magic Breakfast, and Whizz-Kidz.

So far Postcode players have raised more than £1.3billion.
