The first McDelivery deal on offer is "the squad burger deal", which as the name suggests is tailored to a group of mates enjoying the sunshine or watching sport.

It included four selected burgers and four medium fries for £17.99.

The deal has been branded "the perfect option for any group of football fanatic friends seeking the ideal tasty treat to accompany their Euro’s viewing party".

The two for £10 deal is also set to attract interest from partners and pairs.

Dubbed the "double burger deal", fast-food fans can claim two burgers with two medium fries for £9.99.

Burgers that can be bundled up in the deals include Big Mac, Filet-o-Fish, Quarter Pounder with cheese, McChicken Sandwich, McPlant and Vegetable Deluxe.

The new specials come after McDonald's ended the 3 for £3 deal on June 11.

Customers could choose to add three of an array of options including small fries, cheeseburger, four chicken nuggets, apple pie, veggie dippers, mayo chicken and others while dropping just the £3.

McDonald's says its deals will relieve Brits of an expensive time of year that includes trips out, holidays and festival tickets.

The fast-food giant appears to have some summertime competition, with supermarket Aldi launching a £5.99 burger three times the size of a Big Mac for Father's Day.

Aldi announced the arrival of the so-called Big Daddy Burger in stores by saying: “We’re going BIG this Father’s Day.”

One Aldi shopper wrote online: "I saw this and it was bigger than my hand!"

It comes in the form of a burger kit, with the budget supermarket promising it's easy for kids to assemble.

A statement added: "And at a whopping 715g, this supersized meaty treat is sure to leave dads feeling full and satisfied — coming in at almost three times the size of a McDonald’s Big Mac."

Meanwhile, some McDonald's customers have been expressing their sadness over a summertime menu change.

The fast-food chain regularly updates its offerings as the seasons change to give customers a chance at tasting new and returning items.

It announced the Oreo frappe would be launched for the summer - but at the expense of a much-loved Biscoff beverage.

On social media, Toni Cooper commented: "Wish they could have both on the menu."

While Holly Holdsworth added: "Let's see if better than biscoff" with an upset-face emoji.

Others on the other hand were excited at the Oreo addition to the lineup.
