Five savvy ways to get free delivery on online orders

Plus save big on New Balance trainers

SHOPPING online can uncover some amazing bargains – especially during the sales.

But paying a £5 or £6 delivery charge can easily reduce the value of a discount — and in some cases cancel it altogether.

Here’s how to get free delivery on online orders.

GROUP EFFORT: Many shops have a minimum spend limit for free deliveries, typically around £40.

By grouping together purchases you’ll need in the future, you can avoid paying the delivery charge twice.

For example, members of H&M’s loyalty scheme get free deliveries over £30, so ordering two pairs of boys’ trainers for £17.99 in your child’s current size and the next one up would mean no delivery charge.

ALL ADDS UP: On Amazon.co.uk there’s a £25 minimum spend for free deliveries if you are not a Prime subscriber.

Latestdeals.com’s “Amazon UK Free Delivery Tool” finds cheap useful stuff to add to your order to reach the £25 threshold.

For example, you can say you’re spending £18 and it might suggest buying a £7 roll of Gorilla tape.

Alternatively, add one of your regular purchases, such as toilet roll.

STAY LOYAL: Sign up for loyalty scheme memberships that offer free deliveries, such as The Perfume Shop and Foot Locker.

Superdrug’s club members get it for spending more than £20, whereas the usual limit is £25.

LOCKED IN: Choose click and collect or locker pick-up.
