Exact dates B&M to open 14 new locations starting in days – see the full list and if one is near you

DISCOUNT retailer B&M has announced it will be unveiling 14 new sites this year with doors set to open within days.

B&M is opening in new locations across the country this summer, bringing bargains to even more shoppers.

The budget retailer currently has more than 700 stores in the UK, but has a long-term target of 950 sites.

The chain, which sells everything from homeware to furniture, DIY products, cupboard staples and clothing, is rolling up the shutters on a number of new sites in the coming weeks.

Three of the 14 planned openings are relocations as the retailer moves to offer customers better shopping experiences, while one is the expansion of an existing site.

The first of B&M's new openings in London's Bexleyheath welcomed customers on Friday (May 31), with more to follow this week.

• Gainsborough, Lincolnshire (relocation) - July 20
• Cannock, Staffordshire - July 23
• Arndale, Manchester - July 24

B&M's Bulwell store is moving to a former Wilko on Main Street. the existing store will close on June 7, the day before the opening of its new site.

The Gainsbrough store is also relocating to a former Wilko in Marshalls Yard. the current store will close on 17 July, three days before it opens in its new location.

B&M's Oldham store will move form its current location to a former Debenhams site in Spindles Shopping Centre. The existing site will close on June 22, before reopening in the new, bigger site on June 26.

Unlike its rivals, B&M has been thriving over the past two years opening a number of new sites.

B&M took on a number of Wilko stores after the chain fell into administration in August 2023.

A host of possible buyers expressed an interest in Wilko but sadly, a buyer for the whole business couldn't be found and it was announced all 400 shops would close.

B&M agreed to buy up to 51 Wilko locations in a £13million deal in September 2023.
