ASDA is majorly overhauling 170 stores as part of a £50million makeover in a boost for shoppers.
The retailer has launched a giant store upgrade programme aimed at giving customers an improved "overall experience".
It will see 50 larger stores given major upgrades with some reopening with George departments.
These shops will also feature new foyers, seasonal aisles, food-to-go services, counters and new flooring and lighting.
The Sun can exclusively reveal the full list of 50 larger stores set to be revamped below as well as pictures of the interiors.
The remaining 120 shops will see new trolley bays and signage put in place, as well as improved toilet facilities and external landscaping work done.
The programme will kick off at the Long Eaton store in Nottingham and is due to be completed in November.
Asda said any works should only take around five weeks per branch, with stores remaining open throughout.
Dates for when the branches will go under renovation and then reopen are yet to be revealed.
Ian Brackenbury, senior director of construction and implementation at Asda, said: “We are always looking at ways in which we can improve the overall experience for our customers and this program is one of the many ways we are actively doing that.
"Starting with our supermarkets and superstores, this significant investment allows us to upgrade our stores by launching new and exciting services, whilst making significant improvements to the existing components of our established stores."
Asda's latest move comes after it fully converted 470 convenience stores acquired from the Co-op and EG Group into smaller Express stores.
It takes the retailer's total store estate in the UK to more than 1,000 as it looks to expand its presence on the high street.
The supermarket chain was acquired from Walmart by the Issa brothers in February 2021.
The retailer's shareholders have to date pumped more than £3.5billion into opening new stores and renovating branches.
In 2023, the retailer acquired 119 Co-op fuel sites with attached convenience shops and EG Group's UK business.
ASDA has revealed the 50 larger stores that will benefit from the £50million investment programme:
It came before Asda rolled out a major change at 232 branches in April.
The retailer became the first UK supermarket to offer an online prescription service in a boost for shoppers.
Shoppers have also been left gutted in recent weeks after discovering the chain has axed garlic and herb tortelloni pasta.
All Asda staff carry a book of Asda smiley vouchers, which can be given out to customers at their discretion.
Each voucher has a face value of 50p and can be used to get money off your shop.
Grab items from Asda's Just Essentials range, these can be identified through bright yellow packaging and offer great value on household essentials.
Don't forget the famous Asda "reduced" stickers.
Chilled things start getting reduced in the morning with final reductions on items such as bread and cakes starting around 6:30pm.
It's worth signing up to Asda Rewards too.
As an Asda Rewards member, you'll get exclusive discounts and offers, and you’ll also be able to earn 10% cashback on Star Products.
