An eagle-eyed shopper has spotted the bargain deal at a local Asda branch in Ayr, Scotland and posted their find on a Facebook group.

Shoppers stocking up on laundry essentials can now grab Zoflora capsules for only 45p - originally priced at 90p.

The prices of Ariel and Bold have also been slashed to only £2.50 and £3 respectively - down from usual £6 and £8 at Asda.

Popular for its brilliant clean and stain removal abilities, shoppers are rushing to their nearest store to grab themselves a bottle of the Bold gel.

However, clearance items can depend on the store, so specific products might not be selling for the same price everywhere else.

Even so, you won't find any other supermarket offering a better price for the liquid gel that's currently on offer.

The closest you'll find to Asda's £3 "reduced to clear" price is Tesco's £3.71 offering - a price difference of 71p.

Most retailers, including bargain shops like Poundland and Iceland, sell the same laundry gel at £6.

Shoppers have been rushing to Asda for a number of other offers lately.

SAVING MONEY AT ASDA

Asda superfan Eilish Stout-Cairns previously shared five money-saving tips with The Sun which you could use on your next trip.

For one, she said, it's worth picking up Asda's budget Just Essentials range which could save you hundreds of pounds a year.

You don't have to employ this tip just in Asda either - "downshifting", as Martin Lewis calls it, can save you money across all major supermarkets.

Asda shoppers should sign up to the retailer's Rewards scheme too, which rewards you with "pounds" when you spend in-store or online.

You can also get up to 10% cashback on so-called "Star Products", which change regularly and are flagged to you on the app.
