Greggs reveals new summer menu including ‘amazing’ sweet treat fans can’t get enough of

GREGGS has revealed its summer menu including an "amazing" sweet treat that has breakfast lovers racing to the chain.

The popular breakfast chain is adding six items to the menu including a Cherry Bakewell Muffin.

Greggs announced their new menu just in time for the summer festives.

The discount food store's summer menu also includes six iced drinks with fans being able to choose a variety of different flavours.

This summer, the retailer offers two vegan options, including a Vegan Mexican Chicken-Free Bake.

Greggs's new muffin is priced at just £1.75 and is the same price as their Triple Chocolate Muffin.

Their two non-vegan items both cost £4, however, the vegan options aren't available using click-and-collect but can be bought at your nearest store.

Breakfast fans have taken to social media to share their delight at Greggs's summer items, especially their new muffin.

"That's my summer body out the window," said one user.

Another wrote: "Their beautiful had one today."

"Had it this morning and my husband said it might be his favourite sweat treat he's had in his life lol," commented a third.

While a fourth added: "I need to try one of these like now."

The bakery chain currently runs around 2,300 shops across the UK, but said it hopes to grow to more than 3,000 stores in the future.

The company was founded by John Gregg in Newcastle in 1939.

It recently opened two more 24-hour airport branches, taking its total to six around the UK.

It has also extended the opening hours for around 500 shops to 8pm or later, making it even easier for Greggs fans to get their fix.

Meanwhile, it has at least 17 drive-thru stores across the country and plans to open as many as 10 more.

It has also rolled out a total of 28 concessions inside Tesco and has partnerships with Asda and Primark.

It comes after breakfast fans were left "heartbroken" after the bakery chain shut a popular branch for good.
