I live on ‘luckiest street in UK’ where ALL neighbours won £100k thanks to £12 raffle which took seconds to enter

The winner nearly lost it all after believing the windfall was a scam

A LOTTO jackpot winner scooped a jaw-dropping £100,000 - and so did ALL her neighbours thanks to a £12 raffle.

Anne, from Heald Green, Greater Manchester, believes she lives on the luckiest street in the UK after landing the life-changing windfall.

The mum-of-two bagged the incredible prize after entering the Postcode Lottery.

And, she wasn't the only local - there were nine other gobsmacked homeowner who were handed a large cheque.

It was in fact the commotion during this jubilant ceremony that caused Anne to check what the fuss was about.

Initially when the Postcode Lottery called to inform her of the jackpot - she slammed the phone down thinking it was a scam.

The worried mum even rang her daughters - who told her not to give away any personal information.

Anne said: "There was a lovely party atmosphere when they were here in the street.

"I peeped round the hedge and saw the cheques, I was trying to see the amount as they opened them."

After realising she had won too, Anne quickly made plans to donate £10,000 to the village hall, where she works as a chairperson.

Much of it will also be gifted to a Multiple Sclerosis therapy centre, after her husband was diagnosed with the disease.

Other winners on Greenhythe Road were neighbours Roy and Julie.

The couple's day was completely turned around after their boiler broke down that morning.

Julie said: "When they emailed us and phoned we thought we may have won about £1,000.

"When we kept seeing all the noughts as the cheque was pulled out of the envelope I kept saying 'Oh My God, Oh My God'."

Meanwhile, neighbour Tracy Mellor, believed her jackpot was thanks to her late dad Peter "shining down" on her.

The 54-year-old broke down in an emotional scene as she was presented a cheque for £100,000.

Incredibly, she had just cancelled Peter's own ticket two weeks prior.

She said of her "bittersweet" win: "That's me dad, that."
