Customers will now save up to £2.49 if they buy the brekkie item with a hot drink.

It rivals Greggs' cheapest breakfast meals which start at £2.85.

McDonald's lovers can also opt to choose the Egg McMuffin as part of a deal.

It comes as the fast food chain has revealed its latest menu shake-up with a never-seen-before frappe.

More on McDonald's

A total of seven new items have been added to its main offering, including returning favourites.

The new and returning items landed on menus across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday.

Among the range is the brand new Lotus Biscoff Frappe.

And the popular biscuit will also be featured in the form of a McFlurry, which made its debut last year.

Among the beloved items making their way back to menus is the Chicken Big Mac.

Also returning to its offering are Cheese and Herb Melts.

I tried the all-new frappe from McDonald's based on an iconic biscuit - it was tasty but could have used a key ingredient

Fans of the iconic Quarter Pounder burger will once again be able to give the deluxe version a go too.

Not only that but the Galaxy Caramel Pie which first hit menus last December is also back, as well as the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry.

If you want to try these additions then don't hang around because they will only be on menus for around six weeks.

The Biscoff Frappe costs £2.99 and has a vanilla flavour base, blended with ice and Biscoff crumb.

It's then topped with caramel-flavoured cream and a crumb dusting.

Coming back for a fourth time is the sell-out Chicken Big Mac which has proven a huge hit with fans since it first debuted in 2022.

It's a twist on the classic Maccies Big Mac with its triple-layered bun, two chicken patties, a slice of cheese, lettuce, pickles - and of course the Big Mac sauce.

The burger costs £4.69 for a single and £6.49 for a meal.

Elsewhere the new Cheese and Herb melts are made from a blend of Emmental and mozzarella cheese in a herb-infused breadcrumb with a tomato dip.

Cheese lovers can get a pack of five for £2.89 or a sharebox for £7.09.

The Quarter Pounder Deluxe - priced at £4.89 - contains a 100% beef patty with mustard, ketchup, onion, lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, and pickles.

How to save money at McDonald's

You might not think it, but you can end up being charged more solely based on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.

Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30p cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.

Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 by filling in a feedback survey found on any old McDonald's receipt.

The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.

You'll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.

Make sure you check out all the various apps and platforms if you're ordering McDonald's to your home too.

Our research found some can charge up to £1.20 more than others.

How do I find my nearest McDonald's?

If you're planning on taking a trip to McDonald's, you'll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one - and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald's serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
