SOME Cadbury fans have been left disappointed after spotting their chocolate eggs were covered in white coating and smashed on Easter Sunday.
Chocolate lovers took to social media to share their woes after discovering their sweet treats were far from egg-cellent.
Many sweet enthusiasts were excited to open their chocolate boxes this Easter weekend.
But what should have been a delicious Easter treat ended up "ruined" for some after they unwrapped their chocolate eggs.
One shopper explained how she got sent the wrong item after buying the popular Cadbury Fruit and Nut Egg.
She was left in shock after opening the box only to find there was no egg inside.

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, she said: "My other half brought me this, because I love fruit and nut chocolate.
"I was so looking forward to this, but instead of fruit and nut, someone has packed it wrong."
Instead of the fruit and nut egg, she was sent a bag of mini Cadbury chocolate bites.
The shopper continued: "How do they get this so wrong? Wasn't particularly cheap either And isn't a fruit and nut egg.

"Please can you send me a fruit and nut Easter egg replacement with an actual chocolate fruit and nut egg please and pieces."
But she wasn't the only customer affected by the blunder.
Another user claimed she received a bag with no Cadbury Mini Eggs.
Natalie fumed: "Cheers Cadbury...no mini eggs in my big egg. Easter ruined."
Meanwhile, a mum revealed how her 7-year-old son was left devastated after opening his Easter egg box.
The little boy was sent a bag of Wispa chocolates instead of a whole egg.
The user said: "My 7 year old son was exceptionally upset to find this Wispa in his Easter egg."
But the chocolate Easter nightmare doesn't end here.
Others were left in shock after spotting their items broken.
One user posted a picture of her Cadbury Crunchie Egg smashed into little pieces.
Leah said: "Wow, Cadbury bad form! Three out of the six Easter eggs I ordered from you are like this.
"As an adult it doesn’t bother me, but these were for the kids."
Responding to the posts, a Cadbury spokesperson apologised and told shoppers to contact the customer team so they could look into the problems further.
They said: "Sorry to hear that! Please contact the customer care team and they'll look into this for you."
The Sun Online has approached Cadbury for comment.
