One savvy shopper who spotted the deal posted a picture of the duvets on Facebook alongside the caption: "Summer is coming, 15 tog duvets reduced in Tesco."

This prompted a flurry of bargain hunters to tag their friends in the comments, in the hopes of bagging the deal for themselves.

One person said: "OMG, that is cheap!"

Another added: "I need these, which Tesco was it in please?"

While a third commented: "These are a brilliant price!"

A fourth person said she had seen a woman "filling her trolley with quilts" when she was in her local store earlier that day.

The image shows single duvets priced at just £3.75 and double duvets at £4.75.

It is not clear which store the deal was spotted in, so bear that in mind if you are thinking of popping along to your local to grab one.

Deals can vary from store to store and when something is on clearance, stock probably isn't going to stick around for very long.

To find your local Tesco you can use the store locator tool on the retailer's website.

How to find the best bargains at the supermarket

We had a look around to see what other 15-tog duvets are selling for at the moment in other retailers.

Asda is currently selling a single for £7.50 down from £15 and a double size for £9.50 down from its original price of £19.

While it does not beat the Tesco price, it is still great value.

Other retailers still have 15 tog duvets at full price, for instance, Dunelm is selling a single size for £26 and a double for £32.

These are a brilliant price!

Marks and Spencer has also reduced their duvets, you can currently save £27.60 on its 15 tog single duvet retailing at £41.40 instead of £69.

Remember it is always best to shop around before splashing your hard-earned cash.

Which other retailers are gearing up for Spring?

As Easter approaches many retailers have started to launch Spring deals.

Aldi has recently announced that its popular outdoor range is making its much-anticipated return to stores soon.

Shoppers can start planning their summer garden makeovers as the first drop of items is due to land in stores as early as next week.

Prices start from as little as £2.29 and include items such as a table and chair set, garden mirror, planters, and outdoor rugs.

Products will be staggered with the first launch planned for March 28 and a further two drops on April 7 and 25.

The popular discounter has already been getting shoppers in the mood with the return of its popular BBQ pizza oven.

The popular gadget returns every year and this year it is priced at £39.99.

It can cook a 12" pizza in just 10 minutes so is perfect for family get-togethers and garden parties.

The BBQ pizza oven launched in stores on March 21, but be quick as it is guaranteed to sell out.

Meanwhile, Amazon has been slashing prices in its Spring sale event, with great deals to be had on several items, including gadgets and games.

Also if you are still looking for some bargains for Easter, we have scoured the supermarkets and found the best deals on Easter eggs right now.

We also spotted that a little-known discount supermarket is selling Nestle Milky Bar eggs for just 10p.

The closer we get to Easter weekend the more supermarkets will start battling for your cash.

If you are looking for a bargain on some cheap veg, we can reveal the exact date one supermarket is slashing its prices to just 15p.

Do remember when you are sale shopping that it is only a bargain if it is something you are shopping for in the first place.

If you are buying something just because it is cheap, as tempting as that might be, you are not really saving money.

How to save on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they've been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you'll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you'll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching "finest" or "luxury" products and instead going for "own" or value" type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they're misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you're on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
