The history of Percy Pig

PERCY Pig first hit shelves in M&S in 1992.

The pig shaped sweets originally came in strawberry, blackcurrant and raspberry flavours.

Since then Percy has been joined by many pals including a cola Candice Cow, and orange and strawberry Sharon Sheep.

In 2013 - aged 21 - he found love with Penny.

On his Percy describes Penny as the "most lovely lemon and vanilla-flavoured pigette".

After Percy and Penny got together Percy piglets began to appear.

Mango-flavoured Timmy Tiger and blackcurrant-flavoured Poppy Panda joined the range in 2014.

Since 2022 all Percy Pigs have been vegan friendly as M&S ditched gelatin.

You can even purchase Percy smoothies, biscuits, and hampers.

As well as food, Percy has also branched out into kitchen accessories, bedding, clothing, and even a neon light and nail polish.

And if you just can't choose - there's always a Percy gift card to splash on all things piggy.

Fans have the chance to scoop a Mini Eggs treat, a Crunchie Egg, a Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut or a Dairy Milk white chocolate egg.

Also up for grabs are a Dairy Milk Nibbles, Freddo Faces, White Chocolate Buttons and Milk Chocolate Buttons.

These come with cute penguin and monkey faces on the iconic purple packaging, perfect for little ones.

How do cashback websites work?

THEY promise to earn you money on your shopping - but how do cashback websites work?

  • Cashback sites agree offers with retailers which they pass on to customers
  • This can vary from a set amount of money off whatever you are buying, or a percentage of the cost of your purchase
  • The sums range from pennies for groceries to more than £100 for some mobile or broadband contracts
  • You have to make your purchases by clicking through from the cashback site
  • Because the sites drive traffic to retailers, they earn money from brands they support
  • Membership of most sites is free - although some offer premium subscriptions which you pay more for
