TV fans have been hit with a price hike this month after BT and EE raised the cost of their sports TV packages.
The prices for new customer TV packages which include TNT Sports on EE TV increased by £24 a year, as of March 1, 2024.
The standard sports package price rose from £18 a year to £20 a year.
On average this is just over £2 a month for Sport, Big Sport and Full Works packages over 12 months.
This is the first rise BT and EE TV customers have seen since March 2023.
BT TV transitioned to EE TV late last year as part of BT’s efforts to consolidate its services under the EE brand.

Last year we also saw the move of BT Sport into TNT Sport, a massive change which has reshaped how viewers access and consume sports content.
The move saw BT Sport merge with Eurosport which allows viewers to access a wider range of sporting events like UEFA Champions League, Premier League football and Premiership Rugby.
TNT Sports has secured broadcasting rights for 52 premier league matches last season from 2025 which put them closer to competitor Sky Sports.
Below we explain how much all EE TV sports packages have increased.

How to save money on your bill
The first thing you should consider is whether you're on the right plan.
There is a whopping £58 difference between the highest and lowest plans per month, that's £696 a year.
So it’s worth checking if you might be suited to a cheaper plan.
If you are a sports fan, there are also alternative ways to watch TNT sports.
Discover+ is another streaming service that offers TNT Sports under its Discovery+ Premium, which includes TNT Sports.
The price of Discovery+ Premium has increased from £29.99 to £30.99 so bear that in mind when comparing prices.
The news comes after Disney+ also announced subscription price increases.
The streaming giant made changes to its subscription plans late last year which saw premium subscriptions increase from £7.99 a month to £10.99 a month.
