SWEET-TOOTHED Brits have been brutally shut down by Cadbury after the company confirmed their "best" chocolate bar won't be back.

Fans were left heartbroken after the firm revealed there are "no plans" to bring back the fan-favourite snack.

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Toffee Popcorn bar was first released in 2012 but has been tough to find for fans ever since.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), a chocolate junkie pleaded with the company to bring the bar back.

The post read: "Cadbury, bring this back I'm so serious right now."

But the choc-giant returned fire and relayed news that sank the hearts of treat-lovers all over the country.

Replying, Cadbury wrote: "We have no plans to reintroduce this at the moment, however we still have lots of other chocolatey treats to try."

The original poster responded with a row of sad faces, knowing that they won't get to enjoy the delicacy any time soon.

A second user noticed the missing snack while listing a few other products from the company's "Marvellous Creations" innovation - a collection of unique bars released for a limited time in 2012.

He said: "Cadbury released all these in 2012, the only one still available to buy is the top one - the worst one.

"The best was clearly Toffee Popcorn."

Another user replied to the post: "Toffee Popcorn was the best, I agree."

But not everyone agreed, as one user brought up an entirely different - and unmentioned - bar.

He said: "I'm waiting for them to announce the results of that new bar poll because I guarantee the coffee one - the best one - won't be picked."

ICONIC CHOCOLATES THAT HAVE LEFT SHOP SHELVES

Cadbury's Dream Chocolate bar: The popular bar was discontinued in 2002, but was relaunched in 2019 under the new name 'Cadbury White'.

Mars Delight Bar: Although it proved to be a firm favourite by sweet-toothed fans during its four-year stint in shops starting in 2004, by 2008 it was removed from shelves. Fans still long to see the treat make a return.

Nestlé's Caramac chocolate bar: The one-of-a-kind bar had been in shops for over six decades, but was discontinued last year due to continual slumps in sales.

Milky Way Crispy Rolls: They were pulled from shelves in 2022, and fans were so distraught by the news that a petition was started to bring them back, which currently has more than 8,500 signatures.

White Maltesers: The white chocolate version of the popular snack had a strong run lasting 11 years, but falling sales saw them discontinued in 2014.

Cadbury's Dairy Milk Toffee Popcorn bar was first introduced as part of the firm's "Marvellous Creations" drive, which at the time was described as the most significant innovation for Cadbury Dairy Milk, reports

When the Toffee Popcorn edition came out, fans were already smitten with it before they had even put it in their basket.

Back in 2012, and on the firm's post announcing the treat, one user said: "Oh my god, bliss."

And a second user said: "I love Dairy Milk and I love Popcorn, this is just a dream."

A third said: "I bet that's delicious."

But it looks like the popcorn bar is not the only treat Brits are having to mourn.

A Mondelez International spokesperson, said: "We continuously adapt our product range to ensure it meets changing tastes whilst supporting growth for our customers and our business.

"Our Cadbury Dairy Milk Toffee Popcorn tablet bars (150g)  were discontinued several years ago but we still have plenty of other delicious tablet bars for consumers to choose from.”
