‘I need this in my life!’ cry Greggs fans going wild for ‘gorgeous’ sweet treats back on menu after a year missing

The bakery chain is also trialling new and improved chicken burgers across selected sites as well

GREGGS fans have been left buzzing after the pastry maker switched up its menu - including with returning favourites and new items.

The Newcastle-based chain has brought back two cinnamon drinks last seen in March 2023.

Fans can snap up the returning 124 calorie cinnamon flat white from £2.50 nationwide.

The beverage comes with a double espresso shot combined with steamed and lightly frothed milk and a dash of cinnamon syrup.

Meanwhile, the cinnamon swirl latte, coming in at 226 calories, is back on menus for £2.50, combining coffee with milk, cinnamon syrup and cinnamon dusting on top.

Both returning drinks are available at all Greggs branches.

Caffeine addicts can also pick up two new items from menus.

Fans can grab a new iced cinnamon latte, which contains 160 calories, from £3 and a new cinnamon muffin from £2.95.

Foodies have already gone online sharing their excitement after details of the returning and new items were released.

One said: "I need a cinnamon muffin in my life," while another added "I'll take one of each! How nice does that muffin sound?!"

Meanwhile, a third simply said: "I want the latte and the muffin."

And a fourth, commenting on the muffin, said: "Had one this morning and it was absolutely gorgeous!

"I didn't know it had a filling and was surprised when I bit into it."

It's worth noting, the iced latte is only available across 22 branches, including in London, Bristol and Leeds.

Shoppers can pick up the iced latte at Greggs at Primark on Oxford Street, London, Greggs at Primark in Birmingham and at the Fort Shopping Park in Birmingham.

The drink is also available at the site in London Gatwick Airport and Bridge Street, Worksop.

Greggs said it was to be confirmed how long all the items are back on menus for.

That's not all, as Greggs is also trialling new and improved recipes on selected chicken burgers and wraps which launched in early 2023.

But foodies will only be able to pick them up at 10 branches in the northeast.

The 10 shops that are trialling the new and improved chicken burgers and wraps are:

  1. Gateshead
  2. Longbenton
  3. Washington
  4. Newcastle
  5. Sunderland
  6. Washington
  7. Bowburn
  8. Horden
  9. Blaydon
  10. Greggs at Primark Northumberland Street

The new and improved recipes include a sizzling hot mayo crispy chicken burger, which combines chicken breast in a crispy coating, with iceberg lettuce and creamy mayonnaise.

Foodies can snap up the 569 calorie burger from £3.90.

Meanwhile, the mayo chicken wrap is making a return, combining southern fried chicken goujons, mixed leaf salad, cucumber and a dollop of creamy mayonnaise, coming in at 538 calories and from £3.70.

Also joining the trial is the new and improved spicy crispy chicken burger, made from juicy chicken breast in a crispy coating, with iceberg lettuce, chipotle mayo and jalapeño peppers.

The 569 burger will set you back £3.90.

All three of the new hot menu items can be combined with southern fried potato wedges or a side salad and any cold drink from £4.95.

It comes after Greggs announced it is set to open up to 160 new branches in 2024, after pulling up the shutters on a record 220 in 2023.

It has already revealed the location of eight which will open, including in Cambridge, Sale and Mottram.
