B&M shoppers spot iconic US chocolate brand on store shelves – but it’s left them divided
SHOPPERS have spotted iconic US chocolates on shop shelves but not all are in a hurry to pick them up.
Hershey's Kisses Milklicious have been spotted in B&M stores for £1.25.
The tear-drop-shaped chocolates hold a creamy milk chocolate filling which is meant to evoke childhood memories of enjoying a rich glass of chocolate milk.
The recipe is new as Hershey’s announced in March 2023 that it would be adding a new creamy filling.
However, it looks like the new recipe has failed to connect with us Brits.
The news was shared on the @treatsinstore Instagram account online.

“Imported from America. Extra creamy!”
The post racked up 80 likes and just a few comments but account followers did not hold back on their criticism of the American chocolates.
One user said: “Worst chocolate brand ever! It tastes like vomit... literally.”

The Hershey’s brand has not proved popular with UK chocolate lovers.
In 2022, found that just 23% of chocolate eaters liked the brand.
American chocolate is renowned for its slightly sour or tangy taste, to combat this American chocolatiers tend to add a lot more sugar.
This often means sugar appears at the top of ingredient lists as opposed to British chocolate which usually lists milk and cocoa as top ingredients.
If you are interested in getting your hands on the Hershey’s chocolates you will need to head in-store as they aren’t listed online.
Bear in mind prices will vary across different stores. Remember stock will be limited from store to store and some might not have it for the same price.
If you can't get to a B&M store you will need to turn to either an American importer like Candy Mail or Amazon.
Prices on these sites are quite a bit higher with the chocolates listed as £12.99 and up before shipping.
It seems Australian chocolates have proved much more popular with UK shoppers in recent months.
B&M shoppers went wild for Cadbury's Honeycomb Sundae Twirls after they were spotted in B&M, previously only available in Australia.
Likewise, the Cadbury Dairy Milk Slices Vanilla Passionfruit was a huge hit when it was spotted on shop shelves.
