The Royal Mail catering assistant, 62, and hubby Mark were over the moon after their life-changing jackpot was announced on Saturday, January 6.

Sue told the Postcode Lottery: “This is so wonderful. I’m overwhelmed.

"I just want to cry. It’s like having my children all over again.

“My husband just said last week ‘why don’t they come knocking on our door’ and now you have.”

But, the couple aren't planning to splash the cash on luxury cars or expensive designer clothes first.

Some may even dub their first port of call 'boring' - while others would deem it practical and humble.

The pair are in fact planning on re-vamping their crumbling garden fence, after years of playful battering from three grandchildren.

They're also set on lending a helping hand to their two children, and forking out for some home improvements.

Mark said: “We can help the kids out and the fence is cream crackered.”

However, Sue and Mark are also upgrading some pre-booked trips away to Fuerteventura, the Greek isle of Kos, and Cyprus before spending Mark’s 65th birthday in Cape Verde.

Royal Mail heavy goods driver Mark added: “We love our holidays. We had five last year. But this will help.”

Sue added: “This is truly, absolutely brilliant. Just after Christmas as well.”

The winning grandparents shared the £1m jackpot with five neighbours in Sutton Coldfield, after B74 2EA landed Postcode Lottery’s weekly Millionaire Street prize today.

Another dad on the street told how he scooped a £142,000 lotto jackpot - and spent the money on his daughter.

Kevin McCann, 67, received a frantic call from his girl after she cracked a back molar the night before he landed the whopping sum.

Now kind-hearted Kevin has vowed to spend hundreds from his winnings on a crown for daughter Donna Hardwick, 45.

The dad-of-two said: “This is ridiculous, this never happens to us. I’m in shock.”

Wife Rita added: “It’s always us two that never wins anything. But with this I said that no matter how much it was, it would be wonderful and more money than we had yesterday.”

It comes as a couple who won £60,000 on the People's Postcode Lottery told how they were able to double their winnings.

Susan and Colin Tallon from Warrington, Cheshire, were able to take home twice the £31,250 prize on a massive fluke.

Meanwhile, a group of lucky Brits who bagged themselves £3.2million  revealed how they'll splash the cash.

The huge prize was won by more than 1,000 locals on a Greater Manchester estate.

Another fortunate resident scooped an entire £388k Postcode Lottery prize due to a quirk.
