It comes as most shops are trying to clear their popular Christmas stock after the big day.

It won’t be long before retailers start pulling out their Valentine's and Easter chocolates so they need to make space.

We've rounded up some of the major supermarkets and shops that have slashed the prices of chocolate treats this week.

Asda

Loads of festive bargains have been spotted in Asda.

Deals were shared in the NewfoodsUk Facebook group, where prices start from as little as 62p.

A range of different Aero chocolates like Peppermint, Candy Cane and chocolate orange are down to 62p (instead of £1.25).

You can also nab the Milkybar selection box for as little as £1.25, down from £3.

One user said: “I got a basket full lol.”

B&M

B&M are giving their customers a taste of luxury this season with rich Ferrero Rocher's down to £7.99 for a 24 pc box (instead of £1.25).

The Cadbury Heroes and Quality Street Pouches have also been spotted online for 50p cheaper than their original price of £3.99.

The retailer also has Bailey's Valentine's chocolates already on sale for £2.99 (instead of £3.25).

Iceland

Iceland have also started drastically slashing the prices of their chocolates.

The Maltesers Reindeer Chocolate Christmas Mint Mini Treats Bag has been reduced to 60p, from 65p according to .

The retailer also has a three for £10 deal on chocolate bars where you can pick up three of your favourites for a tenner.

The Celebrations selection box is down to £2 each (instead of £3 )if you buy them in a set of three.

Home Bargains

Home Bargains are known for their low prices but this season if you want to get good deals on chocolates you’ll need to buy in bulk.

For example, you can buy six of the 220g Quality Street selection boxes for £17.94 working out to £2.99 each.

Toberlones were also spotted in stores just before Christmas for £4, down from £10, so it's worth checking if they are still around.

Morrisons

In Morrisons, you’ll find tons of festive deals on chocolates and biscuits too.

The B&M Bargains, Extreme Money Saving deals and More group on Facebook revealed that Tolblerone almond bars are down to £2.50 from £4.50.

Meanwhile, Family Circle biscuit boxes are down to just 65p each, down from £3.50.

You can nab a full-size Quality Street pouch for just £2 as well, down from £3.50.

Tesco

Tesco has a few good deals available online, although you will need a Clubcard for most of them.

A gift box of Toblerone Milk Chocolate Truffles is now £4 instead of £5.50 with a Clubcard.

Quality Street assortment boxes are down to £3 with a Clubcard instead of £3.50, but you’ll need to act quickly as many other chocolate selection tubs have already sold out.

Bear in mind that prices may vary across different locations depending on stock levels and offers available.

Although reductions are common at this time they are not guaranteed in every store so it's worth looking around.

There is a chance some Christmas chocolates may be reduced even further, especially after the New Year so keep an eye out in the coming days.

Remember to compare prices across stores, just because an item is discounted doesn't mean you won't be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.
