Urgent recall of heater sold at major discount stores due to fire – exact codes to look for if yours is affected
AN URGENT recall has been issued for a heater that was sold at a major discount store due to fires.
Home Bargains put out a "DO NOT USE" alert after TJ Morris Ltd discovered their PIFCO Convector Heater with Turbo and Timer was at risk of going up in flames.
The budget retailer wrote in their warning that all heaters bought between November 1 2023 and December 12 2023 should not be turned on.
This is down to a "risk of overheating and fire due to an incorrect fuse size in some heaters", explained Home Bargains in
Customers who bought the faulty heaters from Quality Save stores have also been told to stop using theirs immediately.

What you should do
If you have one of the recalled heaters, Home Bargains warned customers "DO NOT USE IT".
Instead you should:
• Check if you have bought the affected batch codes - this information can be found on the side of the heater close to the control panel.

• You can check your code by taking a picture or writing down the PO/batch codes listed above for reference at home.
• To be given a full refund you can return it to your local Home Bargains or Quality Save store.

What are my rights to a refund?
