A WOMAN has shared her nifty trick for keeping condensation at bay as the temperature drops outside.

Condensation can become a huge problem as it can make window frames damp and mouldy over time.

And while dehumidifiers and window vacs are among the products some swear by to defeat the drips, they can also cost a fortune.

This woman's cheap hack will only cost you 99p, and you probably already have what you need lying around.

A lot of homes are kitted out with dishwashers, and it's easy to forget some of the more old-school choices for home cleaning.

All that's needed is a bottle of washing up liquid and a cloth.

Lynsey '', who posts cleaning hacks on TikTok, starts by applying a small amount onto the cloth.

She then wipes it around the window in circles until the surface is coated.

Lynsey explains that the product creates a barrier, preventing condensation from building up.

And even better, she told viewers that because she used such a small amount, the window won't be smeared by the time it's done.

Lynsey wrote under the clip: "You’ll never believe it, but this old school tip is amazing to stop window condensation!

";My mum told me about this last week I shared in my stories. The following day they literally blow up with loads of you having amazing results.

"To prevent condensation on your windows this time of year just simply rub a tiny drop of neat washing up liquid using a dry cloth all over the effected windows.

"This will stop the condensation leaving you with dry windows in the morning.

It's not the only trick for keeping the condensation away.

Someone else's £3 tip might just do the job too.

Reddit user shared their own “non-permanent solution", with a link for a magnetic secondary glazing kit, and prices start from just £3.

The  explains that while the product won’t eliminate condensation, it will help “reduce the worst visible effects”.

It says: "Condensation happens when the moisture content of warm air settles on a colder surface - the colder the air, the less moisture it can hold.

“Windows are typically colder than the air in a room and therefore a noticeable place for condensation.

“On the face of it, because Secondary Glazing will have little effect on the airborne moisture in the home, it cannot solve condensation problems.

"On the other hand, because Secondary Glazing helps keep heat in the home which can cause less moisture to condensate, and by insulating windows (the most obvious place for condensation to occur) it certainly can reduce the worst visible effects."
