Sainsbury’s makes huge change at tills to rival Tesco affecting millions of shoppers
SAINSBURY'S is making a huge change for millions of customers - and it means they'll get exclusive discounts on products.
The supermarket chain has launched Your Nectar Prices on its website, offering digital loyalty scheme users shopping online personalised offers.
Digital Nectar Card users are those who have registered via the smartphone app or online - there are currently 14million of them.
Up until now, personalised Your Nectar Prices offers have only been available to those with a digital card shopping in-store and using SmartShop.
But today's change means any loyalty scheme customers will receive discounts worth up to 30% off on up to 10 products every week when buying online.
The list of 10 items will refresh every Friday based on what customers are already buying and are valid for seven days.

Offers can also be used more than once within the seven day window.
Alex Naisby, director of loyalty at Nectar said: “Offering great value to customers is important to Sainsbury’s and Your Nectar Prices aims to help where it really matters, by offering savings on products people love and regularly buy."
It comes after Tesco shook up its Grocery and Clubcard app last December, with customers now offered personalised coupons every two weeks.
Beforehand, shoppers received the offers a maximum of eight times a year.

How does Nectar Card work?
Sainsbury's has been part of the Nectar scheme since 2002, buying it out in 2018.
Customers collect points when buying certain products or goods, in-store and online.
You receive one loyalty point for every £1 spent.
You also get one point for every £1 spent on fuel bought at Sainsbury's petrol stations and can pick up points at hundreds of partners as well, including Esso and eBay.
You can register and download an e-Nectar Card by downloading the app on your smartphone.
You then have to swipe it every time you shop and the points are added to your account, which can be used to get money off future purchases.
Each point is effectively worth 0.5p, meaning you need 500 points to get £2.50 off.
You can also sign up to the scheme on Sainsbury's website.
