I never use my tumble dryer & save £100s on energy bills with makeshift clothes dryer I built using items everyone owns
A MONEY-saver has revealed a genius "life hack" to help dry your clothes faster - and save £100s this winter.
Brits across the UK are looking for ways to reduce energy bills amid the soaring cost of living and plummeting temperatures.
Drying a full load of wet clothes straight out of the machine can be a tough task without the sunshine and a washing line.
But don't panic, there's a nifty trick to help - and you've probably already got what you need.
In a video posted to TikTok by @energysavinghacks, one woman shared her golden piece of advice.
"This is the life hack you need to dry your washing in winter without using any extra energy," she said.
"Grab your clothes airer, just a normal one, not a fancy heated one.
"And put it next to a radiator, and chuck a bed sheet over it.
"Tuck it in like a tent.
"So, whenever you have your heating on it's going to dry your clothes for no extra cost."
The bed sheet will create a warm pocket of air surrounding the clothes which helps dry them faster.
Some clever money-savers have even taken the hack a step further and added a dehumidifier under the sheet too.
This will absorb any extra moisture captured in the air pocket.
