SIX energy-saving hacks can help you save hundreds of pounds this winter while ensuring you still stay warm.
The majority of homeowners are beginning to turn their heating on as Britain's temperatures begin to plummet in the final few months of the year.
But it means energy bills will begin to skyrocket once more, with many people struggling to meet the financial demands.
However, an expert has now revealed six cheap energy-saving hacks for winter that can really help you out over the coming months.
Llewellyn Kinch, from MakeMyHouseGreen, has provided the perfect solutions to help conscious customers save money and remain warm this winter.

Sealing gaps around windows and doors, especially in older homes that are notorious for drafts that let out the heat, is another solution.
Llewellyn said: "Install weather stripping or draft stoppers to keep the warmth in and the cold out. Using rolled up towels is a free-alternative."
The experts third piece of advice is to install thermal curtains.
"These specially designed curtains help retain indoor heat, reducing the reliance on heating systems," Llewellyn explained.

"When the sun is shining, keep them open to let in the natural sunlight, but keep those curtains shut when the window isn’t getting sun to keep the heat in.
"Curtains over drafty doors can also work well. And making sure they’re not covering a radiator when shut, or that heat is wasted on the cold glass."
Llewellyn also claims that taking regular meter readings and submitting them to your energy supplier can help save the pennies.
It eliminates the need for the supplier to estimate your energy usage and ensures that your bills are based on your actual consumption.
Going green may be an obvious solution but switching to renewable energy sources, such as solar panels can lead to significant long-term savings.
Llewellyn's final tip is for those looking to really cut down their energy bills, with the expert recommending a more extensive insulation plan.
He said: "Beef up insulation in your attic and walls to retain more heat. While at first glance this might seem expensive, there are many grants available to make insulating your home more affordable.
"Loft insulation is the biggest bang for buck by a long way. You can even DIY if you’re confident and careful."
Incorporating these simple yet effective tips can lead to considerable energy and cost savings, allowing you to enjoy a cosy, eco-friendly, and budget-friendly winter.
