Heinz launches new soup flavours for the first time in a decade as food fans say ‘finally’ and ‘I’d eat them all’

HEINZ has launched four new soup flavours for the first time in a decade and they are perfect for the colder weather.

The four new flavours include spicy parsnip, broccoli and stilton, french onion and chicken broth.

The new winter warmers are permanent additions to the Heinz soup range and were chosen by "souper" fans.

Heinz asked its fans via Facebook which soup flavours they'd like to see brought to life and it led to the creation of the new flavours.

Shoppers welcomed the news and quickly took to social media to express their excitement.

One person said: "I'd eat all of them hopefully see them soon".

And another commented: "Yes finally, French Onion is my second favourite after Tomato".

While another soup fan added: "Can't wait to have Broccoli and Stilton".

The new flavours cost £1.70 for a 400g can and are already available to buy in Sainsbury's.

The soups will be available in other major supermarkets from the following dates:

It is the first time Heinz has added to the Classics range in 10 years, aside from its plant-based version Cream of Tomato soup which was launched earlier this year.

Alessandra de Dreuille, director of meals and insights at Heinz said: “We’re so excited to be launching these delicious new soup varieties and can’t wait to see what the public think.

"We know our fans have been keen to see these flavours brought to supermarket aisles and love adding variety to their meals, and so I’m thrilled to announce they’re finally here”.

Meanwhile, the brand divided fans recently by adding three new flavours to its baked bean range.

The new flavours were launched alongside National Curry Week and included a fragrant jalfrezi flavour, creamy tikka and intense vindaloo.

It also created some condiment controversy when it announced the launch of a new Heinz Tomato Ketchup pasta sauce.

The pasta sauce is not a permanent addition to the range so if you want to get your hands on it you will need to be quick.

Heinz said at the time: "We know loads of our Heinz fans love putting ketchup on their pasta.

"So, we're launching limited edition jars of Heinz Tomato Ketchup Pasta Sauce - a rich tomato sauce with the iconic taste of Heinz Tomato Ketchup!"

The sauce is available to buy at Tesco and on the Heinz website for a limited time only.

Back in July shoppers were thrilled to discover the return of a Heinz 90's classic.

The baked bean pizza was re-launched in Iceland stores after disappearing for almost 20 years.

Its comeback had been missed by many shoppers who were shocked to see it being advertised on social media.

One shopper commented: "They had these in the 90's and I loved them! So happy they are back."

The iconic brand also recently settled the argument of where is best to store Heinz tomato ketchup - the fridge or the cupboard?
