Its part of the brand's Victoria range which usually only comes out during the festive season.

The sweet treats, which have never been available before, are made up of crunchy chocolate biscuits filled with orange flavoured cream.

Boxes have been spotted in Sainsbury's stores, according to an Instagram post from NewFoodsUK.

The biscuits only launched last week and McVities has confirmed they will only be sold in Sainsbury's stores up until January 2024.

After that they'll then be available to buy elsewhere - it means they will be available all year round.

They're currently in stock on the supermarket's website and are priced at £2 for a 155g sized box.

You can find your nearest by using the store locator tool on its website.

Eagle-eyed shoppers have already been eyeing them on NewFoodsUK's Instagram.

One person said, "These look unreal!" while another said, "I need them".

Someone else commented: "Need to try."

Other items included in the Victoria range include a milk chocolate topped shortie, dark orange dream, milk chocolate wheel, white chocolate crumble, milk chocolate square, milk chocolate rounder, dark chocolate oatie and milk chocolate finger.

The news comes just a few weeks after McVitie's shrunk the size of its Jaffa Cakes but without cutting the price.

The tangy treats are a tenth smaller, going from 5.5cm to 5cm across, while the orange bump is down from 4cm to just 3cm.

Boxes are the same size and still hold ten — but the cakes are now 11g from 12.2g and their total weight has vanished from the packaging.

Big brands have been revealing their Christmas selections over the last month and some have made new launches or changes.

In September, Cadbury unveiled its chocolate range for Christmas and shoppers were saying they "want them all".

And one item that has made a comeback is the famous chocolate coins.

The coins were discontinued in 2014 after Cadbury argued they were not profitable because supermarkets sell their own cheaper alternatives.

But after nearly a decade, the chocolatier announced they would be returning this Christmas.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday (October 4), Quality Street revealed it had changed the shape of two of its iconic flavours.
