A LUCKY man who won an eye-watering £76million lotto jackpot shocked listeners with his very British reaction.
Humble builder Andy Clark, 51, scooped the life-changing prize in a EuroMillions draw after his niece begged him to check his ticket.
After looking at his winning numbers, back in December 2018, Andy rang Camelot and the conversation sparked disbelief across the nation.
The 51-year-old from Boston, Lincolnshire, told the phone operator: "Hello there mate, I think I've won a few quid so I phoned."
To which the lotto staff member laughed and replied: "Okay, so you've won £76million."
Andy casually batted off the news and simply said: "Yeah."
"You're the person with the ticket," responded the phone operator in disbelief at the builder's calm reaction.
The winner went on to explain: "What is was, my niece kept saying about looking at my tickets, because I only check them about every three months and last night I checked them."
The operator then says: "Wow, what an amount of money. The exact amount was £76,369,806.80."
to which Andy joked: "Just a little bit then."
When asked what he would splash the cash on, the Lincolnshire man said: "No, haven't got a clue."
People were quick to comment on Andy's reaction, which was shared to YouTube.
One person wrote: "God bless that man and his family, such a humble guy.
"You can tell he is in shock but I bet when he put the phone down he was jumping about the place."
Another commented: "I'm surprised he was able to keep his composure, I'd either be too nervous and shaky to speak properly, or I'd keep dropping expletives out of sheer disbelief."
Andy received news of his huge windfall a whopping six weeks after the draw.
He said he had been working on freezing rooftops through the winter, while the golden ticket sat untouched on the sun-visor of his van the whole time.
The builder went on to tie the knot with his girlfriend Trisha Fairhurst, 52 - but the pair kept it simple despite the jackpot and married at the local pub.
However, since the EuroMillions win, the couple have splurged on some luxury purchases.
Andy has spent up to £700,000 on supercars including a Porsche, a McLaren and a Mercedes.
A source said: “Andy and Trisha are determined to keep their feet on the ground — it’s only the cars where Andy has really spent money."
This comes as two lucky lotto winners claimed their £3.2million jackpot earlier this year in the Set For Life draw.
And, in June a lucky UK ticket-holder scooped a EuroMillions jackpot of £111.7m.
Meanwhile, another £1million windfall winner claimed to still travel using budget airlines and be a proud B&M shopper.
