A MAN who dropped out of school with no qualifications is now a multi-millionaire.
Despite a turbulent academic career, Steve Parkin, from Leeds, now ranks tenth on the list of richest people in Yorkshire.
After receiving his HGV licence, the entrepreneur started working as a driver for Huddersfield-based clothing company Bonmarche.
Steve then went on to become owner of the online logistics company Clipper - and has seen his personal wealth increase by £45 million last year.
Clipper was acquired by rival company GXO in 2022 and, as such, no longer exists.
The company served retailers selling fashion, tobacco, alcohol and other high-value goods in the UK and Europe, and boasts 47 sites across Europe.

Despite being tested by crippling lockdowns during the pandemic, Clipper managed to increase its value as online shopping rates soared.
Steve's success has led some in the past to speculate that he may be plotting to take over his beloved Leeds United.
Speaking when he was owner, Parkin said: "I remain as confident and focused as ever in the future growth prospects of Clipper.
"Over the last year we have demonstrated our ability to act quickly and effectively to solve complex challenges for our clients, and the growth we have delivered through this period is testament to Clipper's leading position in the eCommerce logistics market."
