‘Huge loss’ as high street fashion retailer with 400 stores to shut shop for good in days after wave of closures
A MAJOR fashion retailer with 400 stores is set to shut another shop for good in just days.
New Look will be pulling down the shutters on one of its sites next week, following a wave of other closures.

The store is located in Beverley, east Yorkshire, and will shut for good on Friday, September 8.
Team members shared the news of the closure on the Facebook page for the shop thanking customers for their support.
It said: "Unfortunately we will be closing our doors on Friday, September 8.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful customers, we hope to see lots of you over this last week."

Shoppers have shared their disappointment at the news on social media.
One wrote: "You are joking surely."
Another said: "Such a shame! You girls are so much more than just a shop! It's a loss to the high street of Beverley but a huge loss in the friendly faces and customer service received over the years!"
A third commented: "Sad actually no ladies clothes shops left on the High Street rubbish having to shop on line for everything.

And a forth wrote: "Be nothing left soon, ghost town."
New Look has already closed a number of its stores this year, with another pulling down the shutters tomorrow.
Its branch in the Cornmarket, Lancaster, is shutting on September 2.
Its branch in Fosse Park Shopping Centre, Leicester, closed for good on July 25 and its store in the Kings Chase Shopping Centre, Leeds, shut on August 9.
Meanwhile, its shop in the Crossgates Shopping Centre, Leeds, closed to customers at the end of last month.
It shut six branches in January and February this year too.
But it's not all bad news - in November 2022, it opened several shops across the UK.
It also has plans to open more stores in 2023, though it hasn't said how many and where in the UK they'll be.
The high street has suffered in recent years due to the switch to online shopping, especially during the pandemic.
In the last year the cost of living has been rising, meaning shoppers are cutting back on most non-essential spending.
This means that brick and mortar stores have seen less footfall.
Familiar brands including the likes of M&Co and Paperchase closed all of their stores earlier this year after falling into administration.
And several bargain chains are closing sites too.
The most recent news is that bargain discounter Wilko collapsed, putting 400 branches at risk.
