A LUCKY ticket-holder has scooped £5.1million after winning the National Lottery draw tonight.

Punters have been urged to check their tickets to see if they were fortunate enough to hit the whopping jackpot.

The winning lottery numbers tonight were 13, 16, 23, 32, 37, 57 and the bonus ball is 15.

Andy Carter, senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery, said: "What wonderful news, one lucky ticket-holder has won tonight's enormous £5.1 million Lotto jackpot.

"That makes two jackpot wins in a week, after another lucky ticket-holder won the £2 million jackpot in last Wednesday's draw.

"Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim tonight's exciting jackpot prize."

The first National Lottery draw was held on November 19 1994 when seven winners shared a jackpot of £5,874,778.

As well as being in with a chance of winning serious cash, playing the Lotto also helps raise around £30m each week for UK good causes.

You can buy a ticket on draw days, Saturdays and Wednesdays, until 7.30pm.

The largest amount ever to be won by a single ticket holder was £42million, won in 1996.

Gareth Bull, a 49-year-old builder, won £41million in November, 2020 and ended up knocking down his bungalow to make way for a luxury manor house with a pool.

Sue Davies, 64, bought a lottery ticket to celebrate ending five months of shielding during the pandemic — and won £500,000.
