Asda shoppers rush to buy bargain bedding scanning at tills for just 40p

ASDA shoppers can't get enough of bargain bedding that's scanning for just 40p at the tills.

There's nothing like the feel of fresh sheets, but they can set you back a fair few pounds.

However one lucky shopper managed to find fitted double sheets for just 40p and fitted king sheets for 50p in their local Asda.

The customer shared the bargain bedding on the , with the post since notching up almost 3,000 likes and over 1,900 comments.

One said: "What a bargain," while another added: "Asda trip is happening."

A third enthused shopper said: "Super bargain," while a fourth shopper joked: "How do I never get these bargains."

Of course, just because this one shopper found the bed sheets for so cheap, that doesn't mean you will.

Retailers often slash product prices by this much to clear stock so the discounts are unique to single stores.

There are ways you can find out about cheap bargains like this though.

Facebook groups such as Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK are a good place to start.

Users on the page regularly post photos of products they have found on the cheap, sometimes including what store they found them in.

Meanwhile, some retailers, like B&M, have scanner apps that you can use to find out if an item is cheaper than its label says.

Asda shoppers can use its Scan and Go handset to check a product's price before putting it in their basket.

Not only does this alert you to a potential hidden deal, you'll be able to keep track of your total as you continue browsing.

Remember too, to always shop around before buying any item, even if it's been heavily discounted like the Asda bed sheets.

You can use websites like Price Runner, Price Spy and Trolley to compare thousands of products and their prices.

The Google Shopping tab is a quick way of seeing what retailers are selling similar-style products for too.

We had a quick look to see if anyone else is selling fitted double bed sheets for less than 40p, but couldn't find any.

Dunelm has some for £5 in its sale while Argos is selling some for £6, with a £3.95 delivery charge.
