It's a pretty good deal, given that one adult ticket can costs £14.99 at Cineworld in London - and that's without popcorn and drinks.

So if you're desperate to see the new Barbie and Oppenheimer movies, you won't want to miss this deal.

To claim the discount, which is available until August 28, all you'll need to do is sign up through this and send over a picture of your cinema ticket receipt.

A screenshot of an e-ticket will also be considered a valid proof of purchase.

You just need to make sure it clearly shows the date and time of purchase, name of the cinema and the film.

Any cinema and any film are eligible for the cashback.

The £12 saving will be awarded for purchases of cinema tickets at any UK cinemas - although a £10 minimum spend applies.

Sadly, the offer is only valid for new customers so you won't be able to use it if you have previously claimed cashback with the website.

To sign up, you just need to enter your email address and create a password.

You can also only redeem the offer once - and the deal could be withdrawn early if the limit is reached.

Only 2,500 will be able to get the deal so it's better to take advantage sooner than later.

Once approved, the cash should arrive in your TopCashback account within seven days, where you can choose to have it paid out.

Other ways to save at the cinema

By making the most of special deals and loyalty schemes, you don't need to ever pay full price at the cinema.

If you’re a film fan who always tends to go to the same cinema, look to sign up to a loyalty scheme.

Whether your cinema is independent or one of a chain, ask what schemes they run and compare them with the price of individual tickets to work out if it’s worth it.

With myOdeon free membership, you can get deals on tickets, but film buffs could save more with the chain’s myLimitless scheme allowing you to see unlimited 2D movies for £14.99 a month (£16.99 including Central London).

Standard adult tickets are about £11.50, so you could save just by watching more than one film a month.

Cineworld’s Unlimited membership ranges from £10.99 a month to £21.90 depending on where you live and which cinemas are included.

Sign up for your local cinema’s newsletter or app to find out about special events and promotions.

In April, Cineworld offered £3 tickets for Imax screenings of five big movies from the last year.

There are heaps of other ways to get cut-price cinema tickets.

Meerkat Movies is the best known, with two-for-one tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a year if you buy a qualifying product at comparethemarket.com.
