Ice cream parlour flogging bizarre flavours including Branston pickle and Heinz ketchup – would you try them?
AN ICE cream parlour is making hundreds and thousands of fans — with quirky flavours Branston Pickle, Heinz ketchup and Warburtons crumpets.
People are queuing up for the bizarre varieties, at £3.50 for a scoop or £15 for a 500ml tub.
Also on the menu are tastes of Kikkoman soy sauce, Blue Dragon sweet chilli, Kelloggs’ Rice Crispies, KP peanuts, Ambrosia rice pudding, McVitie’s Digestives and sorbets such as Birds Eye petit pois and Maldon salt.
The pickle ice cream is described as a “mellow cheddar cheese with the chunky, crunchy bite of Branston”, while the petit pois is “smooth and refreshing with the natural sweetness of specially selected peas”.
The creations, hand made in Devon, are being served at The Ice Cream Project in Belgravia, central London — a pop-up parlour open until the end of August.
It is the brainchild of British fashion designer Anya Hindmarch, better known for her handbags, and is opposite her store.

She already collaborates with some of the brands on her fashion label — for instance, selling a small bag that looks like a packet of Kellogg’s Frosties.
Fans of the ices include actress Harriet Thorpe — EastEnders’ Elaine Peacock.
She put a video of a tasting on Twitter, saying: “The best days with the best people always have ice cream in them and this ice cream is like no other.
“Most incredible pop-up ice cream shop on the planet. Simply ice cream paradise.”
