Matalan shoppers rush to buy ‘amazing’ homeware must-have scanning at tills for just £15 instead of £55

MATALAN shoppers are rushing to buy a homeware must-have that is scanning at the tills for just £15.

The retailer is selling some grey script ladders, a popular item for the home with multiple uses.

The ladders usually retail at £55 but with the current sale offer of £15 you save £40 on the original price.

One savvy shopper who had managed to pick up this deal posted a picture of her bargain find in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

Other users who had picked up the pretty home accessory also shared photos of how they had used theirs in the home.

One person posted a picture of how she had utilised hers, she said: “I’ve used mine in the bathroom”.

Another commented: “Well that looks amazing.”

Others were tagging their friends in the post to share details of the deal.

While another person said: “I got this for £15 the other day but it was never worth £55.

“The baskets are really good quality but the wood is like lollypop sticks lol.”

The post did not say which store the script ladders were in, and just because one store has something on offer it doesn’t mean they all do.

We had a look on the website, but they were not listed, so this must be an in-store only.

Although we could not find an exact replica of this product, other retailers do have similar items.

Dunelm has a bamboo and basket storage ladder for £65, and John Lewis has a metal one currently in the sale at £12.

The Range also has a version that is foldable, at £37, but it cannot be mounted on the wall.

It does appear that the Matalan offer is the cheapest one around at the moment.

But remember it is only a good deal if it is something you were looking for in the first place.

If you are only buying something because it is on offer you are not necessarily saving money.
